About Deflexion
Deflexion is the creative brainchild of Lex Bekkernens. The debut EP was released in 2019. The first album is planned for 2023. All music and lyrics are written by Lex. He also takes care of the drums and some keyboard parts. The EP was recorded at MilkMark Studios and came about after a successful crowdfunding campaign. Thanks to Paul Adrian Villarreal (vocals), J.C. Wardenaar (vocals), Jouke Westerhof (guitar), Tim Wensink (bass) and Jan Joris Nieuwenhuis (oboe) for their cooperation during the EP recodings.
In 2022 Deflexion has joined the All in Music booking agent, doing progressive rock / mini festivals bookings.

Omar is a passionate singer with a one-of-a-kind and powerful voice. Started with Hard-Rock, now pushes his voice’s own boundaries with Deflexion. He is also the singer-songwriter of Lookeen.

Lex was born in 1988. He is a multi instrumentalist, playing drums, piano and guitar. Diagnosed with Gilles de la tourette syndrome, he now is famous for playing the piano in the Tourette band. Lex writes all music and lyrics for Deflexion. Besides Deflexion he also is the drummer in Yesshows, Genesis Project, Mangrove and Scary Mary.

In the music scene of The Hague, Marc will be remebered as the guitar player of Dementia, a trashmetal band from The Hague in the 90's. Now he plays in Deflour, a heavy metal coverband. He also plays with Lex in Scary Mary, a new metal band with original music, recently started playing gigs in various clubs. And right here in Deflexion this metal guy plays the symphonic parts of Deflexion.

Katinka sang here whole life, but didn't find the stage until the 21st century. At first in a coverband with her father and from 2013 as a singer in Infloyd and Ayreon. Now as the lead vocalist in Yesshows and as a vocalist in Deflexion.

Ebert was born in 1963 and is Prog fan since 1979. He plays progressive rock since 1999. Before that Ebert played several styles like Pop, Soul and Jazzrock/Fusion. Now he is all into Progressive Rock with bands like Genesis Project, Yesshows, Supertrap, Mangrove, Deflexion and Lyrics of the Soul

Erik-Jan was born 1981. He changed playing guitar to bassguitar from a young age and never stopped ever since. He has played (and plays) bassguitar in genres like pop, jazz, metal, prog and many more. Nowadays he mainly plays rock and prog music, also in Genesis Project together with Lex and Ebert.
